Who Created the 2 week diet?
Personal trainer and nutritionist Brian Flatt created this diet plans for women and men who needed to jumpstart their weight loss efforts and get motivated about losing weight.

My day is often dictated by my little ones. Up by 6:30, get to Papa and Nana’s house by 8, get to my office around 8:30, work till 5 and pick up the kids after. You know the drill.
So, there’s really no time to plan what you want to eat and when to eat it. This program told me just what to eat and when.
I do meal prep on Sundays and bring it out for the whole week. Then I just eat it while at work or on a quick coffee break.
They also told me what foods to stay away from if I wanted to become thin, and fat-burning foods that I get just at the market around the corner from my house.
I did not have to pack the kids up and drive all the way to the fancy supermarket nearly 25 minutes away!
And the other great thing is that they make it clear to you that this has to be a LIFESTYLE change.

What Workouts Did You Do?

We are all mega busy right? One child made me realize there were extra hours in the day, but when I had my second I needed to invent 30 hour days just to get everything done!
You can do these 20-minute workouts anywhere, and you do not need any special equipment or gear. Just throw on some shorts and an old college shirt and get to work. I have even done this while my kids played outside in the backyard.
On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, I get up about 30 minutes ahead of the kids and do it in the living room.
I have also made it a point to do active stuff with my kids when we can – we dance to music on YouTube, we go outside and play tag, and get to the playground whenever we can.
And in case you are wondering, the workout is for EVERYBODY. That means even if you have bad knees, or not a lot of stamina, or maybe a bad case of exercise aversion, you will be okay, and YOU CAN DO THIS!

I’m not really sure where the idea came from that says losing weight at a rate of just 1-2 pounds per week is the “safest” or “best” way to lose weight.

Yes, it works! I stuck with it. No, it was not easy. Yes, I did experience the desire for some cake that was being passed around the office one day during a birthday party. No, I did not give in.
I knew that the quick happy feeling I got was not worth looking at my rather protruding tummy in the mirror later on, so I just thought about some advice that was given to me in the Motivation Handbook and kept at it.

What Didn’t You Like?
Well, nothing is perfect. I can honestly say I didn’t like how it was PDF files only for the workout program. I like hard copy books.
Also, you will likely find this with all of the best diet plans – 2 week Diet is a low carb diet. The bad part – I damn well love carbs…..
The book explained to me why I love carbs, and how they work (The Science!).
Unfortunately, carbs make us fat – and to lose my pregnancy weight, and have any chance of losing over 10 pounds in 2 weeks, I needed to lose the carbs.
You simply cannot consume a carbohydrate-rich meal and burn fat at the same time. Your body is either storing fat or burning it, depending on the food you eat. Now that you know this, you can put yourself in control using the methods you’ll learn in The 2 Week Diet
I also did not like how there were not a lot of videos on the exercises that you had to do. I would have liked to see the workout demonstrated by somebody. Instead I just had to figure it out myself, which was okay. I still got a great workout in.
The creator, Brian Flatt, even says on his website that you are not going to end up with a 6 pack or be 50 lbs. lighter at the end of 2 weeks. So those of you thinking this is the weight loss equivalent of a get rich quick plan, you can stop looking, because such a thing doesn’t exist.
It’s only going to be hard work, a balanced diet, the right motivation, and the right coaching and advice that gets you a toned and healthy body.
The 2 Week Diet produces great rapid weight loss results, but more importantly, it does it in the right way. Using this workout plan we don’t starve our body of essential nutrients like other diets.
Eat the right foods – in the right quantities – at the right time. Simple.
